It is hard to believe that 2 years ago this weekend I was filming my debut UCW match against Axel. Seems like that time just flew by! I had a rather short run in UCW as you may recall I left right before the summer started. There were some people I didn't get a chance to have matches with that I would have loved to face but for several reasons. I want to share with you my experience with some of my former ucw rivals. DISCLAIMER These are strictly MY OPINION! I'm not here to deliberately trash or make someone else look bad. This is just from my viewpoint. This opinion doesn't necessarily reflect whom that person is.
AXEL
I have blogged positively about him in the past. I don't really have anything negative I could say about him if I tried. Him and I are very similar in a lot of ways. We are both into fitness and fitness leadership and even had people think we should have been a brother type tag team. That is quite the compliment and I would have loved to sort of work in his shadow if my character was portrayed differently. I love his passion for wrestling. He helped me out a lot behind the scenes and I was always grateful for that. It was great having him further help train and develop me as a wrestler. When I first started in UCW I had a slight crush on him and I think he knew it. I like a guy's feet and he knew how to use his in a way that would be effective in a match and also be slightly a tease. He seems like a good guy at heart.
Michael Hannigan
He's another one I sort of had a crush on at one point. He's a great guy! I love everything about him. He is very fun to be around and a hilarious guy. The thing that I really liked about him is he had a strong passion for wrestling and that shows in his matches. A lot of guys came to UCW for some one off matches or keep coming back to make a quick dollar and they don't give a shit about the fans or what their matches look like. He on the other hand has a very old school mentality in a lot of ways where he actually does give a shit what his matches look like. It is that level of passion that really sets him apart from a lot of the other guys in UCW. So I am thrilled that he has been successful and I am thrilled that I got to have a storyline with him and that fans got behind it. Him and I had a great chemistry together and I think we could have easily put on a few more intense matches as we both improved. There was a moment in our one match where I accidentally stiffed him and I felt awful about it but he got me back later in the match and hit me equally just as hard. It wasn't a vindictive or bitchy type of thing.and there was a mutual respect there. He's one of the few that actually gets it and that is really what UCW could use more of.
Pvt Jack
I don't know why but I always got the feeling that he never really liked me all that much. It is just one of those things that I could sense. Sometimes I am wrong about these things but more often than not I am on the money. I did a match with him and I think I was a little rougher than normal. I think I threw caution to the wind and just didn't give a fuck. I think I was in ass kicking mode or something. For some reason I just always had a negative vibe with him. He's a good looking man but I think that is the problem. I think he just had a little bit of an ego and it was rubbing me the wrong way. I was rough as all hell in our match and I did give him a hard stiff kick in the stomach but that didn't go very well. I think because when I was doing my pro training I had trainers of an old school mentality and there is sort of a different way being taught these days. I was a bit in the mix of both old school and new teachings. He was sort of a newbie at the time and I didn't know much of his wrestling experience, so I think that brought out the old school mentality in me. Well if he didn't like me before I don't think it changed after that. In my eyes Respect and Hard work still has a place in gay wrestling. Wrestling is wrestling and that doesn't change. Back to the story here. He seemed bothered by the kick and didn't say much to me after our match. I think he also refused to shake my hand after the match. I'm not sure what that was all about but I won't dwell on it. I will say this though he did have some potential. I am not really sure what his current status with UCW is but he was actually pretty decent as far as wrestling goes. He was a quick learner and was actually rather easy to work with as far as wrestling goes. There were just a few small things I would have changed but I won't get into that right now. It is too technical and boring to discuss at the moment.
Lance Thrust
I have mixed feelings about him. I think he had massive potential but was very under utilized. I also think he didn't quite realize what he was capable of doing performance wise and I felt that held him back a little bit. There is no reason he shouldn't have been a top star in UCW. I think he had some confidence or comfortably issues. He was great to work with and he was a bit of a natural. I enjoyed out match and I feel it was one of my better matches. It is when I was really starting to develop as a wrestler and it was my chance to carry someone through a match. I think I did a damn good decent job of doing that. He was also a very attractive guy and he brought out my flirty side. There is more I could say about him and some interesting stories to tell but again that is another time and place :-)
Eli Black
I never really got a chance to know much about him. I honestly don't know much about him. I have seen a lot of his other work and can tell you he's fucking amazing to watch but I can't really say much else because I don't know anything.
Quinn Harper
I'm really bummed that I never got to really work with him in a full match. He is a really odd duck. He is not a good looking man by most typical gay standards yet there is something that is really attractive about him. He also has a banging body! He has years of experience under his belt and I think working with him I could have really learned a lot and it would have been an amazing thing for me
Nick Diesel
We were supposed to wrestle on a few occasions but for some reason it never came to fruition. He had a personality that sort of rubbed me off the wrong way. We had an attempt at a match but we did not work well together at all. Something about us just didn't click and that happens sometimes. Sometimes 2 people could be so good at what they do but there is just no chemistry. I think that is something that was really missing when we tried to wrestle. Other than that he is a good performer and he had some interesting matches. It just wasn't meant to be for him and I

Flawless SummerSlam Predictions!
Rarely do I blog outside of the underground wrestling community but what the hell it is a special occasion. SummerSlam is one of the biggest wrestling events of the year and for once almost every match looks amazing! I am shocked that the WWE is actually booking things as well as they have been lately. For once I am actually excited to see a ppv and not just watch one! So let's begin shall we?
The Miz (C) vs Dolph Ziggler for the IC TITLE
The Miz has failed to be exciting for quite a while now and his new hollywood gimmick is awful. Dolph Ziggler on the other hand is a fantastic wrestler and all around performer. It would be fantastic to have The Miz lose this close to Hollywood! I just don't see it happening even though I'd prefer Ziggler to win. I just don't think the WWE really is behind him
Projected Winner: THE MIZ
Rusev Vs Jack Swagger FLAG MATCH
I am on the fence about this match. I am not really sure what direction WWE is planning on taking Rusev after this match. This feud has pretty much played out. It is pretty much a sure fire thing that Swagger will get the victory and wave the US FLAG in glory! Rusev will still look strong out of this one by not getting pinned, but the real story is going to be between Zeb Colter and The ravishing Flordian LANA!
Projected Winner: Jack Swagger
AJ LEE (C) Vs Paige - Divas Championship
I'm huge fan of the divas but I honestly forgot this match was on the card. All eyes are going to be on Brie vs Stephanie later in the show. I'm going to say AJ retains because for one reason or another WWE is high and might on her!
Projected WINNER: AJ LEE
Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins
This really should be for the money in the bank briefcase. This is probably going to be one of the matches that steals the show and for obvious reasons. The way I'd love to see it work out is Ambrose getting the win here and the feud continuing to Night of Champions with the MITB briefcase being on the line in that match. I do think the feud will continue either way but with how strong Ambrose has looked the last few weeks I'm saying Rollins has a trick up his sleeve.
Projected WINNER: Seth Rollins
Randy Orton vs Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns is being built as the next top babyface. I don't see a reason they'd have him lose at SummerSlam
Projected Winner: Roman Reigns
Brie Bella vs Stephanie McMahon
This is the Divas match everyone is going to be talking about for one reason or another. The inclusion of the Megan Miller affair was just awful and I hope they drop that. Not sure if she is an upcoming wrestler or somewhere on the indy scene. I have no idea I didn't research her and nor do I care to. She shoudn't be involved in this angle it cheapens it a lot. That aside everything building up to this has been amazing. This is the first divas match in years people are actually not going to use the bathroom for! A lot of people seem to think Nikki is going to end up turning on Brie. I would love to see that but now is not the time for that. If for some reason this feud continues then yes that is perfect but for now it isn't necessary I'd love for Kharma to come back and destroy everyone! In any event I have a feeling Brie will get the win but Stephanie and HHH will have something up their sleeves.
Projected Winner: Brie Bella (with something big happening after the match)
John Cena(c) vs Brock Lesnar for the WWE CHAMPIONSHIP
This match I am torn on. Their previous encounters were quite surprising in terms of match quality. There is no way in hell that Brock Lesnar is looking weak after this match. They wouldn't have the man beat The Undertaker only to lose to Super Cena! However I also can't see them putting the championship on a part timer. Does anyone remember the Rock's last title reign? I think that this is quite possibly going to end in a double count out or a disqualification! This way Brock can destroy Cena after the match and stand tall.
PREDICTED WINNER: DRAW DOUBLE COUNT OUT

Ask Grayden Damien Again!
Welcome to yet another edition of ASK GRAYDEN DAMIEN! As usual you guys always have interesting questions for me! Let us not waste any more time and get this thing started!
Q: When will we see you back in UCW?
A: I have actually been getting asked that a lot over the last few months. I decided it was time for me to quit back at the end of May. It is something that I have not changed my mind on. I pretty much burned that bridge and any chance of me returning. I stayed respectable and professional with my exit but had certain people trying to bring me down after my exit. I can 100% say that you will not ever see me back in UCW! I prefer to keep it that way! I am grateful for my time there but there is a reason you see a lot of guys come and go. I couldn't lie to myself anymore and pretend I was happy in a situation that I clearly wasn't happy in.
Q: What are your thoughts on Ty Alexander from BG?
A: I don't really know much about him to be honest with you. He seems to be very popular at the moment and that is great for him! I've only chatted with him a handful of times but I know he has worked very hard to get to where he is now. He worked hard on his body and really transformed himself. He had a great deal of dedication and that is respectable. Aside from that I haven't seen any of his matches. I can't pass judgement on his wrestling ability or style. It is too hard to tell if he is Skip Vance 2.0!
Q:In any of your wrestling experiences have you ever been
brought to orgasm mid match?
A: Hey STEVEN D! Figured I'd give you that shout out! I am going to say no on this one. A lot of people look at the eroticism of wrestling and get turned on instantly. It has never been about an erotic experience for me. I'm more driven by the competition and passion for the love of the sport. The erotic aspects are put on the back burner when I'm in a match. I'm too focused and don't look at it in a sexual way so it hasn't happened. That doesn't mean that the natural side effects of rubbing up against another man haven't come up. No different than when a doctor checks your penis and you get an erection.
Q: Would you ever wrestle for BG EAST?
A: I don't think at this current time that is of interest to me. A while ago that was my ultimate goal, but it isn't at the top of my list anymore. I have wrestled in their ring before and there is a lot I am capable of. I wouldn't say yes right now if I was asked today, but I would consider it in the future if asked. I'd have to follow the product a little closer and know what my expectations were before doing anything. Some of their videos seem to be flat out porn and to me that is not what wrestling is about. I understand there is a market for that and I have even taken advantage of that market doing my own videos with my future husband. It would seem hypocritical of me to say I wouldn't mix the two! I'd just rather keep it on the wrestling side of things if I ever did wind up in BG EAST. I wouldn't wanna get involved in the more heavily erotic side, I'll only get erotic with my husband. I have the talent and I have a great look. So if they would be able to find use for me then I'd surely consider it, but I wouldn't be sucking dick after losing a match.
Q: Who would you love to wrestle that you haven't had the chance to yet?
A: Well whomever asked me about Ty Alexander I'm sure wants to see us go head to head! That could be interesting. UCW dropped the ball countless times with dream match ups my fans were asking for. Then of course there is Cody Rhodes! :p
Q: What do you do to keep in awesome shape?
A: I just take care of myself really! Part of my major in college is a lot to do with fitness and nutrition. I hate to just say the cliche answer of exercising and eating right, but that really is all that it is. Eating right is different for everybody and you really have to find what works for you. A lot of my stamina came from a mixture of doing the Insanity program and my pro wrestling training. Right now I am a fan of Focus T25 because of how hectic my schedule is. Again you have to give it your all and not do it half ass!
Well this was exciting! I had a few more questions but I think I will save those for a future blog as they are all sorts of random. That just means that in the future I will have to do another Ask Grayden Damien blog! So for next time feel free to get a jump start on those questions!

Looking back at Lance Thrust
Lance Thrust do you guys remember him? Well neither do I! Let's move on! Even though I don't find him very interesting, I shall blog about this match anyway. Lance was an attractive guy but I don't really think he had much else going for him. Apparently he has appeared elsewhere and has even done adult film work. We have such similar careers don't we? No disrespect to porn stars out there but I prefer to do my adult video work with my fiancee. If you wanna be gang banged more power bottom to you! What was I saying? What is this blog about again? He seems like he was kind of a flash in the pan. He sort of was around for a match or two and just seemed to vanish. I honestly have no idea if he is still with UCW? I just don't really much like the guy. Like I said he is very attractive and has an awesome body. I just don't think there is any substance to him. He's a good looker but has no personality or charisma. Let's discuss how my encounter with him came about. Keep reading here because things get juicy towards the end.
I have pale skin and reddish brown hair that is large in part to my Irish background. Had a great grandmother move to the US from Ireland. The rest of my ancestors came from either England, Scotland, and I believe some in France. Seriously though I am proud of my background and wanted to work that into wrestling. I came up with a concept of doing a match in kilts. I pitched the idea and issued an open challenge to the UCW locker room. Lance was the one who accepted my challenge. Lance already tried some mind games as he switched my kilt and hat out for a skirt and a tiara. Did he really think that was going to irritate me? I mean they don't call me the image of deception for no reason! I was going to play that shit up and use it to my advantage.
Axel introduced the match to the fans, because Axel needs to be in everything for some reason or another. I swear he dislikes when attention is not on him! The match itself actually went very well. I was surprised with Lance's skill level and our chemistry was spot on. This was also the first match I felt developed as a wrestler. I felt that I had some impressive moves and my skill was starting to show. I also feel that I carried a majority of this match. Not to sound like I have a high ego but I think I made him look much better than he was. That is what being flawless is all about! You guys will have to watch the match to see the end result.
It wasn't the last I saw of Mr Thrust. When our match was done he was following me around like a lost puppy. I found it all to be very strange. I stay respectful but sort of like to keep to myself.

Am I done with Wrestling?
For those of you who don't follow me on twitter or facebook you may have missed out on some important updates.
I will repost them here
Thank you guys for everything! Today is the day with great regret that I announce I am finished with wrestling! I recently had a life changing experience in which I also found God! So as I walk a new path in my life I hang up my wrestling boots! Looking ahead to the future. Probably going to be deleting this facebook by the end of today. You guys have been the greatest fans and friends I can ask for. Don't worry you can still keep in touch via snail mail. I have my po box paid for the next few months. Thanks again! Your support has meant the world to me! Wanted to tell you guys a few things before I leave wrestling for good. I've filmed one more match but sadly not with ucw. I don't know when it's coming out but I'm appearing as "Blake" I wasn't given a last name. Not really supposed to talk about it yet but I'm done with wrestling so who cares! You guys can keep in touch at least till August!
A lot of people weren't sure what to make of these updates and to be honest with you I wasn't either. I think I may have ruffled some feathers and the response has been very mixed. Some of you have messaged me saying I'm far too young to retire and I have too much talent to throw it all away. Some of you also didn't really give a fuck either way! The response was interesting. I guess I should just come out with it.
THIS WASN'T AN APRIL FOOL'S DAY JOKE!
Well not in the traditional sense. This was one of those times that I really was looking to get a reaction out of people. Some were quick to jump on and say it was an April Fool's joke and others were legitimacy upset. I guess the good news to come out of this is I am not done with wrestling and I am going to continue wrestling. I love wrestling too much to walk away! However there are some other things I should clear up before I go further.
At the current moment my pro wrestling training is at a stand still. The school is sort of on a winter hiatus. I hope that doesn't mean we are done for good. I don't wanna get too involved with that. I am also awaiting to hear when my next UCW match is going to be and I am working on helping my fiance with workouts and getting him ready to wrestle. He may end up joining UCW if the cards lay out right. There are of course other plans for the future for other things but I won't discuss those at this moment. I am also not appearing as Blake at this current moment. Sorry to let you guys down if you wanted to see me on another site but currently not happening. Right now there aren't any sites I'm interested in appearing on. On a final note I also didn't find GOD! I won't get into what my beliefs are but that is a ridiculous statement to make! I always found it funny when people used that as any kind of excuse for a life changing event! Had to poke fun at that.
Well that is all for now!
Will catch you guys later.
Love
Grayden Damien!

Embracing my inner model!
I can't believe that I am making an announcement that I'm being part of a photo book that is being released. I worked with a photographer last year while doing some wrestling work in Florida. The shoot was fantastic and he was one of the easiest photographers to work with. The book is called MASCULINE BEAUTY and can be purchased online. There is also going to be an exhibit taking place in the Fort Lauderdale area in April. I am looking into the details. I won't be able to attend the exhibit on such short notice, but if any of you are in that area I suggest going. This blog is going to basically be about why I enjoy doing photo shoots and why I like doing things on my own.
I never really ever wanted to get into modeling as any type of a career. To be 100% I think that is the biggest mistake anyone could make. It is really a lot of stress and by the time you reach 30 your career is pretty much over. That being said I do enjoy going on photo shoots and becoming a part of art. I think that is what separates a model from an artist. I am very picky about the type of shoots I will do and who I will work with. I have decided to do any type of modeling work freelance. I have had an opportunity with an agency in the past and that just wasn't for me. I had this one agency signed model try to discredit me and some of the photographers I've worked with. I've worked with some amazing photographers and all the shoots. I mean really their work speaks for itself. I've gotten by using my networking skills. Hence I don't need an agency to find my version of success. The guy that was trash talking me I'm thrilled that douchebag got signed to an agency. He's been quite successful with his agency and that's great. However I don't want the lifestyle he has. I'm beyond fine doing stuff on my own and making my own successes, because I have wrestling and other things to fall back on. Where as he doesn't have anything else to fall back on. The guy has no talent outside of his looks and isn't capable of having a real job and depends on his husband.
I am probably sounding hypocritical in some ways. I assure you that is not the intention of this blog. Why would I want to make myself look stupid? I never got into doing photo shoots to become the next big thing. I know I have an interesting look and it will appeal to certain people and some photographers will want that uniqueness for their portfolios. That is the great thing about my look. I don't really fit into a niche. That's great for freelance work and quite horrible for agency standards.
This is where it is really going to sound hypocritical. I got into doing photo shoots to just feel good about myself. It was never about making money. I have been lucky to make money along the way but a few years ago I put on quite a bit of weight. I was just so disgusted with myself and wanted to make a change. I worked hard to make a change and I lost a good 40 pounds. I loved the way my body looked and for the first time in my life I was just happy with myself. I was working my day job and got approached to do a photo shoot. That shoot was free but after that I was able to start landing some paid work and get other photographers interested in me. All of this eventually led to me landing a photo shoot while I was down in Florida for wrestling. Having one of those photos used for the book came as a surprise. Enough of my babbling. This blog wasn't my most exciting but let's be real. Would you waste the time reading it if I just linked the book?

Ask Grayden Damien!
I love answering your questions! I figure now that I have this blog this would be the perfect place to do it. At the start of the year I asked you guys to send me some questions. These are some of the questions that I got and I am looking to answer more. Make sure you read through to the end to see how you can submit more questions to me. The last few segments were strictly about UCW! Now as I am expanding my horizons I am taking more types of questions.
Q: Damien comes across as flamboyant and wild, are you like that off camera?
A: That is part of the mystery man! There is a reason I call myself the image of deception. Part of the reason I come across that way is so people under estimate me and I stand out. There isn't another UCW wrestler who can touch my personality. You gotta do what you gotta do to get ahead. It works for me and people mistake my hyper personality for a weakness. That is why I also do a lot of dirty moves and tactics in my match. I'm not a full blown heel and I'm not a total face. So playing up to camp allows me to really do whatever the hell I want in my matches. I can grind my crotch in your face or give you a swift kick to the nuts. Take your pick? Off screen I'm not quite that gay. That's all part of my image and my manipulation tactics.
Q: Are you done with UCW?
A: I addressed this in a previous blog! As long as fans wanna see me I'll continue to wrestle for UCW. You'll see more of me in 2014!
Q: What are your 2014 goals in UCW?
A: One of my main goals is to be the best wrestler I can be. To keep myself evolving and keep myself appealing to the fans. I think this year you'll see some improvements and I'll keep things fresh. I'm also planning on becoming champion at some point. So look out!
Q: Will you be appearing on any other wrestling sites?A: Not really! Aside from what I do with Devin for our own videos. I am not interested in many of the other sites right now. I touched upon this in a previous blog. Fans are interested in seeing me on other sites and there have been talks but nothing really set in stone. If the right opportunity comes along with the right wrestling promotion then of course I'd consider it.
Q: Has your life changed since becoming a famous wrestler?
A: HA HA If only I was a famous wrestler! I get what you mean though! The only thing that has really changed is I have had more opportunity and more exposure because of UCW. It has opened some doors and also gave me a fanbase.
Q: Favorite Wrestler?
A: UCW It is my enemy turned best friend Michael Hannigan! WWE It is Cody Rhodes! On the Indy Scene it's really too hard to pick. There is some great talent out there and also a lot of generic similar talent. As far as other gay wrestling sites I have no idea. I can tell you more who I dislike on gay wrestling sites, but I don't wanna start shit here!
Q: Top, Bottom, or Vers?
A: That is for me and my fiance to know and nobody else!
Q: Do you do private matches?
A: This question is becoming too common! I've answered it before and discussed it in heavy detail. Not at this time!
This has been fun! I am sure we will do many more of these. So if you'd like to ask me some questions here is how.. You can either comment here, hit me up on facebook, twitter, AskFm, or email! Thanks again guys!
